Julius Grey
Julius Grey, a distinguished lawyer with over 50 years of experience, holds degrees from McGill and Oxford Universities. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1974, Grey has practiced in various areas of law and has been a prominent academic, teaching at McGill University and the Université de Montréal, among others. He has published extensively, including works on immigration law and the impacts of capitalism.
In 2004, he was awarded the Barreau du Québec Medal, the highest honor from the Quebec Bar. His notable publications include “The Ideology of Capitalism” and “Capitalism and the Alternatives,” which critique economic disparities and suggest a renewed social contract. Fluent in Polish, Russian, and both of Canada’s official languages, Grey is also a seasoned public speaker and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada over 50 times. In 2021, he was named Droit Inc.’s lawyer of the year for his role in the landmark case Ward v. Quebec.
